There are a lot of things about Colin Powell that I don't like although I do respect him tremendously. I don't think he necessarily betrayed Bush nor did Bush betray him. They definitely had philosophical differences about the war in Iraq and as time wears on and things play themselves out in Iraq we will see who was right and who was wrong and about what.

But the problem with Colin Powell is he would be just another RINO and we already have enough of them. He would vote with Dems on most of the social issues and he has this mistaken view of the role of government as envisioned by the founders that is closer to Obama than Bush. As for his endorsement of Obama, I am sure he regrets it even if he would not admit it. He got caught up in the historic nature of the 2008 race and made a mistake. He has been fairly critical of Obama of late but I don't think he has yet said he regretted supporting him. Would Colin's endorsement of a GOP candidate for President running against Obama in 2012 help? Somehow I doubt it will matter one way or the other.
