I thought it was fair to say what I honestly thought about Obama. Almost everyone here knows I voted for him and I was very hopeful for his Presidency.
I didn't expect agreement on my opinions from this group.

I think the Afghanistan question is very complicated. I admit I feel conflicted about it -- I don't we're going to establish a democracy over there. I don't think that is our objective, but I'm not really sure what are objective is there. Do we want to chase the Taliban into Pakistan? I don't think of Afghanistan as an "Obama" problem -- but his decisions will likely have a lasting impact. I don't think there is a huge risk in thinking things through -- we've pretty much put only a minimal effort in there since 2001 -- so what's the big rush now? A few more weeks isn't going to change things. And it will take months to implement whatever decisions are made.
