I've heard him say this several times.  He wants to keep a small office in Tresury to collect the tax payments.  So then I wonder - who is going to go after people that don't pay his flat tax?  The problem with abolishing the IRS, once again, is I don't think Ted Cruz has a clue what all they do and how they do it.  And who will audit Donald Trump or any other millionaire/billionaire to make sure they are paying their 35%?  Accountants and CPAs will have a field day.  While I agree with simplifying the tax code, saying you are going to abolish the IRS is crazy.  Taxes are our source of funding to get things done in this country - doesn't seem to me to be very smart to abolish the agency who collects, audits and goes after non-payers.
