But, I watch and read a lot of media and I can't see where any of them have gone "overboard" in praising Obama. In fact, mostly I have heard about the Seal snipers and praise for the ships Captain and his crew. Other than a mention in passing, I haven't heard much about Obama's involvement other than the fact that he gave the military permission to fire and take out the pirates.

As far as CRD's comment about Obama being briefed 18 times and yada, yada -- There are laws and rules governing when and how the military can be used in these situations. I feel sure that it had to clear legal hurdles and I'm sure there were consultations with Congress. It's not like the President gets a whim and says "fire".
