This is actuall a bigger issue than one might think. PB on one side, jelly on the other vs mixing the two together, then spreading on the bread. Crunchy vs smooth. What type of jelly. Other ingredients, such as fruits and even other nuts thrown in. And, yes you can indeed grill a PB&J. Wars have been fought over less.

My personal favorite is Jif crunchy mixed with grape jelly and a spot of honey.

(Full disclosure - I'm in the peanut business.)
