In 2000 I voted in the GOP primary for McCain. He was destroyed by the same gutter politics that continues to plague us today. He learned his lesson, in 2008 he sold his soul to the extreme side of the GOP (now the only side) and got the nomination. This year Mitt Romney, who is probably even more moderate than McCain if he was true to his heart and mind, has also sold out. I think (hope?) if he is elected he will tell some of his "base" to shove it and actually lead from the reasonable center-right positions he actually holds...but I can't take the chance that he might actually let the rats in the pantry and take this nation go to a scary place I do not want it to go. I will be voting for Obama.
