We have lived, for the past five years, in StillWaters... in the interior.  We find the environment to be very pleasant.

As you penetrate farther in from StillWaters Drive or Moonbrook Dr., the park-like landscaping and grooming understandably fade.  However; the StillWaters Residential Associations maintains the roads to their termini (terminuses?).  The covenants are (rightfully) strict but not strictly enforced unless a violation become flagrant.

Personally we do not mind the 40 minute drive into Auburn.

StillWaters is truly (mostly) a retirement community... it is perfectly safe and not at all unusual to drive about on your personal golf cart.

Crime is scarce as your vehicle is on video as you come and go. The unattended back gate is CLOSED at 1100. The front gate is manned 24 hrs. We have an onsite volunteer fire and rescue service.

If you are a regular attendee of protestant denomination, there are several very welcoming and gracious churches right outside the gate… and in the summer, the pavilioned “Church of the Living Waters” is right on StillWaters and on the lakefront.

Issues concerning the golf course and clubhouse/ (non) restaurant are still in flux. The golf course is expensive and difficult unless you are a fairly good player… it is unforgiving if you are not. If you have a boat, Harbor Pointe Marina is expensive!
