There's nothing peculiar about boating on Lake Martin except some of the answers you will get to your question. This time of year you must be watchful and careful because we are currently slightly below winterpool (480') and a lot of low rocks are sticking out of the water. Otherwise enjoy the lake and the fishing. Bass and Crappie are bitting very well right now. This is still one of the few lakes where the fish are " ok " to eat. You will never be an outsider unless you consider yourself one. Peace
