I have and I believe the years you mention we had above average rainfalls during the spring.

Mine is not to be argumentative. I am attempting to point out that this year is actually not out of the ordinary. Some years the water may come up earlier than other years,, some not as early.

On average the last twenty years full pool is around the last half of April or the first weeks of March.

I honestly would prefer it be left at full pool all year but with Logan Martin being the main flood control lake on the Coosa this isnt going to happen.

Another point we all tend to forget is although the dam is owned and operated by APCO, its flows and the lake levels are governed and overseen by the Corp of Engineers. While we may not receive a drop of rain or way more rain than average, Logan Martin water level as with all the other lakes are directly affected by rain or predictions of rain both upstream and downstream.

At this moment I am rather happy to have property on a lake that everyone is grumbling about being too low other than having property on the beach with an oil slick approaching.

There is no good reason to not enjoy the lake even at low water times. During winter I cant get my boat to my pier but there are launches around the lake that can be utilized, as I learned in early March when I took a elderly friend fishing. We had a terrific and very enjoyable day.
