As required by law, The Alabama Surface Mining Commission has scheduled an "informal conference" (public hearing), whereby those who wish to speak, or enter comments into the record, can address the public and commission members regarding National Coal's proposed Smith Lake Brushy Pond Mining Permit P-3939.

This informal conference will take place April 22, 2010 at the Wallace State Community College Student Center Theater - 801 Main Street N.W. Hanceville, AL. at 6:30 PM. This is your opportunity to speak up!
