Good Morning! I'm new to the Lake and I'm wondering about the folks who build the boat houses on the shore around here. I've seen a couple being built at public access sites and a couple of other spots around the lake and assumed that is allowed - obviously. Up here at the end of Brushy Creek, on the Eastern bank (on a really nice piece of point property), it appears a fabrication company has been established. They have a structure set up on shore where they are fabricating the dock components and they have two large, two story boat houses under construction in the water. When you come around the bend and are confronted with that scene, it really takes away from the beauty and quiet of that creek.
Does anyone know about regulations that the power company or Winston county might have concerning businesses along the shoreline? Noise and water pollution are certainly by-products of a full blown manufacturing facility. I think we'd all have a problem with manufacturing happening in our neighborhoods anywhere, but especially where we expect to have beauty and quiet. (And, I'm in the heavy manufacturing business, so nothing against us working folks! But, we do our business in an industrial park.) Sorry for the length of this question, but thanks for your thoughts on the subject . . .
