I already read this story. Not based on a lot of data and is speculative on their part. Portions may be true but at this point I doubt anyone knows for sure as yet. Lot of data collection going on as we speak so stand by for more substantive statements based on data. As I said, BP has already spent $500M trying to control the spill and will cleanup what is left.

I would point out to you that this is the NY Times so it should come with a disclaimer that all the news that's fit to print, but some of it may not be true.
