LNG, with today's engine and storage technology, makes great sense for discreet fleet applications. The are a number of conversions available for consumers. As a matter of fact, some of my diesel customers use it as a performance supplement. Our business is retail consumer,and we will certainly watch for any fuel switch. I bought a E85flex fuel truck 5 years ago. Bought it for the rebate, but then got excited about the potential demand. I consulted my oracle, and shared my plans for adding e85 tanks and dispensers. He laughed out loud, said that was a black hole and went on to list a number of reasons why, all directly tied to vehicle manufacturer, corn producer, and central gummint collusion, closing with a mandate for use would be required before retail consumers would accept it. My post earlier this week indicates that we are in for a shock with natural gas prices rising as owebammy marches forward with shuttering coal plants. We can only hope the author is not factoring the recent expansion of natural gas reserve estimates in his/her 2014-2015 price projections.
