According to Michelle Bachman, this is true. But, you can't "hide" it in the bill. It was likely there for all to read -- but most voting on the bill didn't read it, remember? I don't buy the argument that there was no time to read it... all of them have staffs that get paid to read the bill and give their elected officials a summary of the bill. I suspect the majority of elected officials don't read the actual bill that they vote on. They rely on their staffs for that.

From a purely objective view of political gamesmanship, one has to admit it was pretty clever.

It will be interesting to see how this all plays out. The majority of Obamacare won't be implemented for years, maybe longer now that the mandatory insurance provision has been declared unconstitutional. I suspect that ultimately it will be a moot point.
