with the need to overhaul the tax system on the whole.

I tend to agree with you about reducing tax rates on business. It appears when a state gives tax incentives to relocate, business responds. Our country needs to make the US a favorable environment for manufacturing to keep the jobs here and perhaps attracting foreign business.

I read an interesting article recently that made the argument that we should give up the manufacturing model, and realize that we have moved to a service industry model. The article likened it to when the US had to give up the largely agricultural model to a manufacturing model. I don't necessarily agree, but it was an interesting article.
