What is the Southern Hertiage you are so proud of?  The South lost the war and lost slavery.  That is the ultimate truth about the South.  The Civil War has been over for well over 100 years.  The South was segregated and fought against integration.  It is the birthplace of the civil rights movement, beating people senseless on the Pettis Bridge.  Blew up a church in B'ham and killed children.  So what exactly is ths Southern Heritage you think should be preserved? Racism?  

Like MM, I personally have no feelings about the Confederate flag.  It's meaningless to me.  But why continue to perserve it and wave it around?  It belongs in a history museum.
