Here's one for you.  If Trump had overseen the draw down and departure he would have done it right and protected those who had helped us over the years.  Ya see, Trump was in charge of his faculties, knew what was going on and what to do, and didn't rely on a bunch of flunkies to tell him every move.  Yes, Trump was a chit-bag as a person but his performance as President was light years ahead of the poor bumbling idiot currently residing in the White House.
