I got three estimates for my driveway. The first was $7700 the second $7600. Both of those guys showed up on the scheduled day for the estimate. Three weeks later Henderson and Coker showed up to do thier estimate, $15,600. After I got done laughing at him I asked him did he just not want the job. He assured me he did, even offering a 10% discount if I signed THAT DAY. When I told him of the other two estimates he said when I hired them I got their 'name' with it. HAHA. It is concrete, there are guys out thier with 3rd grade educations that work with it every day.

Another interesting aside, both of the other guys did nothing more than step it off and came to the same yardage and money. The H&C guy spent the better part of an hour measuring and ciphering to arrive at his quote.

This was in 2001. I am sure they more reasonable now.
