Cat - per our conversation, I talked with you about the '95 Mariner 75hp with the trim motor that whines. Not the 'normal' electric motor sound you hear during normal operation, but a slightly higher/thinner sound.

I will check the items you mentioned and see where it goes. I don't live at the lake so it's a weekend here and there....

Thanks for offering the suggestions. Will let you know where I end up.
