Could runaway inflation and economic chaos occur in the USA --My answer is "yes", ....BUT, ...not for the same reasons as they occured in Zimbabve.
-The USA eco-pol model and the Rhodesia eco-pol modwl might be similar in some respects (but I'd even debate that) but the models for the takeover groups (Blacks in Rhhodesia and Socialists in America) are way different.
-Those that took over from the primarily white governing body in Rhodesia had been denied real participation in the governing of Rhodesia for decades. They had been denied adequate education. There business experience was not widespread. THus the faiure to assimilate the blacks into teh eco-pol culture of Rhodesia prior to change was a primary cause of the chaos that followed. The whites had only themselves to blame.
-That model does not apply to the USA. Our possible road to catastrophy will be built by people (leftists and socialists) who are an integral part of teh present ruling class. They are an integral part of teh education class,--in fact, they almost run the entire national education system. They have been prepared to rule in many areas, ----except one, ...economics. They have little understanding of how to construct and run an economic system that will produce a progressive (not in the political-social sense) economy that will grow, expand, diversify, and innovate. No socialist economy anywhere has ever done this, ...and my guess is that none ever will.
-Could we end up in economic and social chaos/ --yes. But it won't be for teh same reasons as Rhodesia. Boooooooo for Bortz on this one.
