Considering the scare tactics the proponents are using and not suggesting other places to cut the budget, I'd vote against it. This is all about short-term budgeting and re-elections. Governor Bentley needs to keep state employees happy through his 2013 campaign. In the long-term, Alabama is going to need that money when federal grants to the states are reduced... And that will happen. Make some tough decisions now. Don't wait!
