I don't think it is the ACA as much as it is that the pre-exising condition clause was taking out, so now insurance has to take you, regardless.  Insurance companies taking on much more risk.  I agree with Forbes that the American Taxpayer will bear the brunt if the ACA goes away, or if they drop the "mandatory" insurance rule.
