Is this a modification done by you? Reason for asking is I need to know how you plumbed the filter. The proper way is to route the fuel from the tank, to the filter, then to the primer bulb and to the engine. In other words, you need to be "pulling" fuel through the filter and not "pumping" fuel through the filter. Also, there are -> and -< marks on the filter housing. Make sure you have it plumbed proper. I would replace it every year, depending on use. Hope this helps!
