I noticed the posts below concerning legalizing marijuana and I would like to add my $.02. I've only been around marijuana once and that was in Vietnam. I worked with new personnel coming in country and observed several who started smoking it soon after arriving and then moving on to cocaine and heroine as their time in country progressed. All of these individuals were college graduates, hand picked for the job they held so they were not your typical draftee of the era. I remember more than once these guys going AWOL to go into "town", get high, and get lost. On one occasion we had to send MPs with .50 cal "in town" to extract a soldier who was late for his PCS flight. MPs found him high on heroine, brought him to our unit, where he came down while handcuffed to a stand pipe. He was still coming down when we put him on the plane home....now, that's a shame. Point is, marijuana is the stepping stone. You pot heads that advocate legalization are simply identifying yourselves as potheads too weak to control your destiny. Get your life under control.
