I am very sorry to say that I have never visited Childrens Harbor until today. But, because of an email I recieved I took a few minutes and stopped at the "Childrens Harbor Thrift Store". I met a unique individual by the name of Marty. Marty began to proudly tell me how Childrens Harbor was supported by store sales, donations and special events. These thing I knew, but have'nt thought about it in depth. The store operates by selling items donated (I know, yall already know) for profit. Most items it seemed to be from around the lake. I believe most workers time is a donation as well. I was surprised at most of the items condition. I would like to thank Marty Krauel publicly for the few short minutes he took chatting with me today. I have found a new place to visit, and made a friend. Thanks Marty for what you do for Childrens Harbor. I look forward to seeing and helping you in the future. ;)

Cat, I don't think Marty is tuned into this site. If he isn't, I will relay your thanks to him. He is a fellow Northern California Transplant "NCT for short" and a good guy. He also lives a few blocks from me(meet him after we moved here). This also goes to show not all Californians are buttheads.

Steve, I just got off the phone with Marty. He is having some sort of log-in problem with Lakes Online (He can read, just not post). He wanted to thank you for your kind words. I am sure he will thank you personally as soon as he can log in.
