Obviously, the Democrats in the Senate have followed some of the postings on the Forum. Tonight, it appears that the Democrats have ageeed to drop the public option.

that is only part of the disaster of a government health plan. We can only hope and pray the rest of the socialist plan goes down the tubes.

I do not think there is a Senator that reads anything. Seems like they are all just whining back and forth "mine, mine, mine" and "I didn't do it, he did it". Like one big cat fight (not CAT fight).

If they were really interested in the will of the people they would drop the entire package and focus on reasonable, desired changes like tort reform, allowing insurance to be sold across state lines, etc. It is not desired or wanted by a majority of the American people.
Having said that, I would not count on the public option being dead.
