I must admit I am more of a dog person than a cat person. And who can blame me? In a post over the weekend our beloved CatHouse Marine claims to have sold my boat without my knowledge (I hope he fixed it so the new owner will not call me for repair credits). Anywho, back to the felines. Over the weekend a domesticated black long haired showed up at my house. It seems to be a pet as it is fairly unimpressed by my Beagle's attempts to chase it away and constantly wants into the house. If you, or someone you know, has lost a cat at the end of T Road close to Real Island please let me know. I really have no use for cat's particularly ones that dart into the house every time the door is open. And before all you cat people start accusing me of mistreating it...yes, I made it a warm place to stay and some crushed dog food.
If no one claims it...does anyone want it?

I wonder if someone has abandoned it. Poor thing. I like cats as well as dog, but I already have 3 so I can't take it.
Please don't quote me on this, but Dr. Martin at Wayside Animal Hospital in Alex City, might be able to find it a home. Seems to me that she's always got a gaggle of animals she is trying to rehome.
You must be a good person to give it some food and make a shelter for it, even though you don't like cats.

Our permanent neighbor off Coosa Co. 2 on Sweetgum has several cats. He is the fire chief for the Real Island Volunteer fire dept. It's a long shot, but possible the cat roamed that far.
