Probably won't be seeing much of the Egyptian women but their eyes from this point on............

Probably depends on the Army.

From one military dictator to the next probably.  There has got to be an internal power struggle going on right now.  Will they accept free and fair elections?  Hope so but history is not on our side and we have seen what hope has gotten us in this country.

US will increase aid to them, with money we do not have. Watch!

Hope you are not correct about that. We already give them $1.5B a year. My fear is that they are not ready for democracy. It doesn't just happen as we have seen over and over again. I don't think the Egyptian people are up for a radical Islamic regime, because as a group, they are pretty moderate and Westernized.

I think a lot will depend on the military and who is really in charge.  More financial aid is a real possibility but who knows.  Lets hope that there is no significant role for the Muslim Brotherhood because they clearly are anti-American and want to establish an Islamic government.  So much uncertainty.......

I'll give you that one. They are anti-American, anti-Israeli and they would establish an Islamic state. What isn't clear is how strict it would be.

Nor whether the military would let it happen.  Here's a scenario that worries me.  The military allows an election, the Muslim Brotherhood wins a plurality because of the fractured nature of the vote, the military decides that isn't going to happen and bingo, we have what we just got rid of, a military dictatorship that will have to rely on force.  Would they be worse than Mubarek?  Maybe, maybe not.  Depends on who wins the internal power struggle but one thing we know for sure, the list of benevolent dictatorships in human history is incredibly short and in the Mid East non-existent.

Of course thats just one of many permutations that could happen........

They did not necessarily cause it, perhaps, but the result is again an unsettled Middle East Muslim population and more unrest for the other citizens of the planet. Double tap.

Who will be the next General in the Egyptian Army who goes from being worth a few million to having a worth of $40B? How long would it take to set up a system of legislators, neutral judges, rewrite the constitution with rights for women, and freedom of religion - just a few of the many considerations.

Definitely the hard part.
