Lets hope this is a temporary downtick and the markets will recover. So much for the prognosticators that claimed the markets had already built in the idea of an Obama win.

You don't think that capitalists and businesses like a Marxist President?

Big business for the most part yes......but the markets react to what they think the future holds. And with TOTUS in the WH and Harry Reid leading the Senate they see more deficits, inflation, recession, unemployment, war on on business, tax increases, war on coal, natural gas and oil, more regulation, etc. all coming at them like a freight train. In essence what investors are saying is our future is not bright.......well duh!

I increased investing in more tangible assets (precious metals) a few years back - aluminum alloys, steel, brass, copper and lead.

Sounds strangely similar to the metals used to make a gun..........

Won't last forever.....I hope. But expectations for a recession I believe are growing, and that before the incredible tax hikes on every American that actually pays federal taxes. Just wait til that kicks in .......

I am hoping it will flatten out soon as investors price Jimmy Carter's 3rd failed term into the markets.
