But is anyone other than fiscal conservatives listening and do they care? Based on the November election results I seriously doubt it. The chart Boehner is showing absolutely destroys the argument being made by Obama that we need tax hikes now and we can talk about spending cuts later. It is almost laughable that anyone on the left can continue with this line of nonsense but then again, what am I saying?!?!? When has logic, facts or reason been of any value when discussing economics with the economically illiterate.
What this chart does is put the lie to the canard that we need tax hikes to improve the deficit picture. We all know based on his own plans that Oblamer has already spent 75% of the revenue that they are projecting to get with the tax hikes with new spending.
Gen X and Y, left wing nuts and clueless independents, you voted for him and now you got him and all that entails. If it weren't going to devastate the country I could only laugh at your ignorance and stupidity......but alas.......

It is a liberal indoctrination that is to be most feared. I am gen x. I do not agree with the totas. My "friends" and peers do. Get back to teaching the children!

I think the reason for John Denver's demise was flying under the influence but I think you are right he was flying a canard plane. An EZ Long I think. No doubt the lack of parental responsibility in performing their number one job, educating their children, has been all too often abrogated to the wrong substitutes with all the wrong ideas. No doubt in my mind that the number one problem in this country is the culture.

Dinner party last night with relatives. Careful (eggshell) discussion of current debate on Economic Cliff. Two relatives were BO voters, the rest GOP.
Liberal Understanding of the Problem:
1. Only people earning multi-millions per year are at risk of a tax hike.
2. Reduced spending for "entitlements" is a GOP effort to deny the "poor" people some help. Cuts to entitlements will never include either Social Security or Medicare because it would not be fair; I worked for it. I payed for it.
3. The Obama stimulus packages have created millions of jobs and saved the economy. New taxes on the wealthy
will cover the entire cost.
4. Any new push for Gun Control (they own some) or a "Wealth Tax" on 401K/savings/investments will never happen in this Democratic Country.
Conclusions: I love both these folks very much (even voting for BO twice); they are Family. The key is that they, personally, have not been affected by decisions made for the last 4 years, nor have they thought about how those same decisions will be financed. They are right in the cross-hairs of a big tax smack and they have no clue.
If I don't feel the pain right now, the pain does not exist.

The very same thing happened during our Thanksgiving dinner and Two of the younger members of the family also voted for Obama while their Farther has been paying their way through school. They are ready for the real world now and maybe they will see what a disaster he really is and how it is going to affect them. Like you I love them and try to keep the peace so not to hurt anybodies feelings. I think they are in for a rude awakening as bad as I hate it but maybe this Will make them see the light.
