I'm looking for reliable information concerning the Hydro Port Jet Ski docking system. Are these ment to take on some water to add ballast to the floatation system  for stability? Just curious. We looked at a used one today and it seemed to float fine and have plenty of boyancy. We removed it from the water and that was quite a chore.....it has to weigh at least 1000 pounds. Two men couldn't even slide it up a trailer at a 20 degree angle. After backing the trailer under it and removing it from the water, it is slowly draining (it's still very wet below the trailer). From what I can learn online, the shipping weight is around 250 pounds. Is this  heavy weight normal for this product after sitting in the water for several years? Are  they ment to take on some water? If this is abnormal, any explaination why it seems to still float fine? I plan to call the company Monday, but was curious is anyone here knows something help helpful. Thanks.

Don't know the answer to your question, but I would assume "taking on water" not good.

Yeah, I got a helpful email from a local expert and that's pretty much the extent of things. No water should be in a jetski float.......
