The headline of 280,000 jobs added in May is the strongest number since December, but that’s just the start of it. An abysmal April job growth number was revised up to merely mediocre. Average hourly earnings rose by a healthy 0.3 percent. And perhaps the best news was in the survey of American households that determines the unemployment rate. The number of people in the labor force rose by almost 400,000, and the ratio of the population with a job ticked up to 59.4 percent, from 59.3 percent.

unemployment rate rose to 5.5 percent, but this is a classic case of the jobless rate rising for good, rather than bad, reasons. Americans were sufficiently optimistic about the job market that they joined the labor force. Given the rate of job creation we’re seeing, it should only be a matter of time before they successfully land work.

For 6 years we have been pointing out the labor participation rate to you and Archibald every time the unemployment number dropped and you refused to acknowledge the disaster but now that the U6 goes up one month you suddenly want to talk about it.  What a hypocrite.  Wake me up when the labor participation rate matches any GOP president since Reagan and I'll celebrate with you. 

Having said that, I am glad we had one good month before the Obama recession hits just in time to sink Billary. Watch and learn from your betters.  Gonna be fun watching Hillary try to run away from her own record.  Hope Obama is ready for Bill to tell us he should have been serving him tea instead of golfing the last six years.

One good month after 6 years of pathetic results and you are happy?!?!?  Too, too funny.

Stay on task GF.  I know your ADHD is flairing up but I pointed out your abject hypocrisy in all the sudden being happy that 92.5M people are out of the work force instead of 92.6M people. Ignoring the labor participation rate while U6 goes down but suddenly finding it relevant  when U6 heads upward is hypocrisy.  It is indeed a good thing that a few more people are trying to find a job. Will it last?  Who knows?  But it is pathetic since the recession supposedly ended in 2008 and TOTUS has presided over the weakest recovery since FDR screwed up the economy after the Depression......with the very same policies I might add.  And there are many signs that we are heading from a pathetic recovery back into a recession. I really hope not but it has been a while and we are due.  Hope it sinks Billary the way it did Algore. Irony at its best, Slick Willie sinks Algore and TOTUS sinks Billary.

Reading anything Archibald posts is guaranteed to drop your IQ by double digits. I decided a while ago to stop reading and I feel so much better. He however is absolutely fixated on me and slavishly reads everything I post and then puts up insulting subject lines because he knows I don't read him.  Save your brain cells. You'll thank me later........
