Seems to me Jeff Sessions hit it out of the park regarding any Clinton prosecution.  He was explicit that he would recuse himself...what a breath of fresh air!

I do not understand at all. To recuse is to say you will not engage in your capacity as Major Law Enforcement Officer in the US against a major crime or the suspicion thereof? Is that basically correct?

I think it is a mute point since Trump has already said they are not going after her.  I really don't understand all the consternation about Sessions. It appears that he was involved in some controversial civil rights issues, but that was a long time ago and people evolve over time.  I daresay that most adults that were in Alabama at that time and are still here have evolved.  I think he seems like a good choice, so hopefully this won't get screwed up.  Speculation seems to be that he will eventually be confirmed.  He can't screw it up any more than Loretta Lynch.

It is the concept of appearance.  Because of political statements he made, it gives the appearance that he can't be fair.  Unfortunately when it comes to conflict of interest appearance rules.  He is smart to recuse himself because if he didn't it would be made all about him instead of that sorry a$$ed felon Clinton.
