I would like somewhat of a clarification also please! What and who are you talking about?

I guess, due to the lack of clarification, one could assume that anyone with a little money is rude and arrogant. Kinda painting with a broad brush but, what the he!!, I have been called much worse. By the way, can Tennbum at least clarify what constitutes a little money so I will know if I am to be included in this elite group? Thanks in advance for the clarification.

Cat Boat, how much is a "little money" anyway? I think I might fit in that category.

That has to be one of the dumbest statements I have ever heard.

There ARE some 'rude and ignorant' people on the lake, but I don't think having a little or a lot of money has anything to do with it. I've noticed some folks with some big a$$ boats that will go out of their way to be friendly and courtious. I have also seen others who wouldn't wave to their momma much less give way to oncomming boats. I don't think "a little money" has ANYTHING to do with it. I think it is more a "sourthener -vs- a northerner" thing.

"I think it is more a "sourthener -vs- a northerner" thing."

I don't know you - So, I do not know your intelligence level, but that certainly is an ignorant statement.

What I was saying FEB is that being RUDE and IGNORANT has NOTHING to do with havin'g "a little money" (whatever amount that falls into).
I was also saying that SOUTHERners are usually more friendly than most NOTHERNers (and I am NOT taking about the ends of the lake!)
Keyword,..... "USUALLY!"
Can ya not "read between the words" or do you have to have everything
s -p -e -l -l -e -d out for you?

As my Daddy once told me, MONEY TALKS and BS walks. I have been poor and I have been rich, but much rather be lucky than rich, never poor.

Hey joyrider, I have read a number of your post, and I have normally agreed with or enjoyed them. I was surprised that you would make such a statement; since it is in my opinion and view simply not true.

If I misunderstood your post then I apologize, but I don't think that is the case. I am (as I am sure you are) proud that folks from other parts of the USA and the World consider Southern people in general friendly and hospitable. Would imagine that a part of this is us showing them due respect. I do not think they would feel so warm about us if they thought we were judging them as mentioned in this thread with a broad brush. Now please re-read your post, since I have, and see if you do not pick-up on that connotation. I would probably have been even more sensitive to your statement if I were from Up-State New York and not born and raised in the South.

I rather doubt that you intentionally meant to offend anyone.

I am not out to offend anyone. I simply made a statement,.... like Tennbum making his statement.
