Maybe if you had been a more considerate boater in the first place, and not run your boat at those just-above-idle, monster-wake creating speeds and never thought that just because you have a bigger boat that you were a better person than those people in the small boats maybe we would not be having this issue. I will have you know that I have never thought because I own a big boat that I was better than anyone. I have always tried to be considerate to others when operating my boat. I idle all the way out of our slough and when I return I idle back in, and if I come into your slough or any other slough where people live I will idle in and out of that slough. Which is more than I can say for my neighbors and others coming in and out of our slough. I am sure that at times the adult beverages have overcome my better judgment and I have not been as considerate as I should have been, but for the most part over the years I consider myself a considerate boater. If I am fortunate enough to be able to continue to operate by boat on Lake Martin I will continue to be as considerate as I have always tried to be. If I have to get rid of my boat because of this bill I will get a smaller much faster boat and try to be considerate with it. Having said all of this I will not do anything different because I have always tried to be a considerate boater, and never felt I was better than anyone. You have admitted you were an inconsiderate boater and for some strange reason thought you were better than someone because of the size of your boat BITE ME is a mild way of expressing my frustration with this whole deal, not aimed at anyone in particular. But you my friend can BITE ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, lakefun, I mean you. Go back and read your oringinal question, mush-for-brains. You asked a question, the point of which was "What would you do if..." IF. My answer was based on just that: what would I do IF I was faced what some are now faced with regarding the boat ban.

Go get someone who can read, someone with an IQ above 17, someone who has better reasoning skills than an overripe banana-- that is, someone who is not YOU-- to define "if" for you.

My God, you ignorant bufoon, if someone asked you "What would you do if you could fly like Superman?" and you answered "I'd fly to Hawaii!", does that all of the sudden grant you the power of flight? NO! (Really, it doesn't.)

Again, you asked what someone-- someone who is NOT in your position-- would do if we found ourselves in your predicament. My response was what would happen IF I was in that position. I didn't say "Here's what I WILL do."

Why am I even trying to explain this to someone who is obviously so dim, so demented, so downright STUPID that he doesn't know the definition of "if?"

Let me make it easy for you:

! DON'T own a big boat. I don't need to own a big boat, since I am not trying to overcompensate for anything, whether anatomical, sociological or psycological. The boat I do own is less than 18 feet long, and I operate it in a manner that is courteous and respectful to other boaters, to lakeside property, and to the shoreline. IF I owned a bigger boat, I would operate it in the same manner. However, BECAUSE I opeate boats in that manner, I will never own a big boat, since the very operation of such boats directly contradicts any efforts to show respect to other boaters, lakeside property, and the shoreline.

Oh, and I never-- NEVER-- drink and drive. The fact that you do, and admit it, should give every boater on this lake cold shivers up and down the spine. I pray to God you never hurt anyone with your reckless, stupid, illegal behavior, but I fear it's just a matter of time.

What a monumental waste of time answering you has been, because you don't have enough sense in your head to realize what a total ignoramus you are. On the other hand, maybe you made that post after consuming a few dozen gallons of pure grain alcohol, and now that you've sobered up, you see what an obvious, stupid error in judgment you have made. In that case, I await your apology, though I don't expect it; that would require a level of class and dignity that you don't possess.

WSMS, I think you may have stepped out of bounds. This is no place for defamation! Although it is appropriate to post your opinions on topics and subjects, I don't think you should be calling others stupid, dim and other things. Just my .02 worth.

Yes I made an error in judgment when I first read your post. However I don't feel your response was appropriate. I admit I was wrong and I do apologize for that. UNCLE!!! I will go lick my wounds now.
