Okay folks of the forum......what do you think we should do about North Korea right now. Do you think we should wait 90 days and see what happens or do you think we should drop a bomb on them and show them what it's going to be like if they keep screwing around?

Tonight, right where the little gargoyle is sleeping.

commit an act of terrorism. Because that's what it would be; what else would you call a hostile act directed towards a country you don't like or disagree with?

When we ponder why other countries don't like us, perhaps we should think about our "We can do what we want, but you can't" attitude.

Drop the Bomb we are still at war with them. End the cease fire and let them have it.

When PC Al said,

We should be fighting this thing with aircraft and missiles. Not putting our soldiers lives in jeopardy every day when they have no way from telling the "good guys" from the "bad guys".

You said,

Yea it's LOT easier to tell the good guys from the bad guys from 15,000 ft at supersonic or from a missle destroyer a couple thousand miles away.

and then PC Al said:

OK Laker, but you still have not disputed my point. I agree you can’t tell the good guys from the bad guys at 15,000 feet, but you also can’t tell them from 10 feet.

SO -It would seem you are against dropping a bomb in enemy territory because you might kill innocent people....

But you just answered this thread by saying, "Drop the bomb" on North Korea. I guess that means any and everyone in the way...good and bad guys?

Isn't that EXACTLY what PC Al said to do in Iraq? So it's OK to do it in North Korea but not in Iraq? Please explain if I am incorrect in my assumptions.

JAW,
If I can cut in here, I will try to correct my stance on what I said. Whichever way it came out, my real beliefs are that we should not be doing anything in Iraq. Sadam was a bad dude and removing him from power was a good thing, or at least I thought so at the time. Myself and 90% of this country believed in what Bush told us. After we find out about all the lies and deceit, you start trying to figure out what is going on. I was 100% for retaliation for 9-11, but all reports were that the terrorist training camps were in the remote mountains of Afghanistan. My thoughts were bomb the tops off the mountains, if that is where the camps were. Still believe that. But no, I would not bomb populated areas like cities in Iraq. I guess I said what I did because I hate it so bad that we have our soldiers in harms way, and for what? Now, I think we should not even be in Iraq. When I try to make sense out of this mess, all I can conclude is we have to occupy Iraq to protect Cheney and Halliburton’s interests. Major, major dollars are involved there. Sorry for my cold sounding stance.

Sorry Jaw, but I guess I was little unclear and contradictory, but only because I am lazy. When PC AL was talking about doing Iraq from the air I disagreed, because what we are doing in Iraq, CANT BE DONE FROM THE AIR. Talk to a soldier in Iraq, ask them what they do. I'll bet over 90% will answer build schools, hospritals, police stations, water plants and sewer systems, etc. If you only listen to the 'mainstream media' you will NEVER hear of these things. Yes, Iraq is a dangerous place, but so is Washington D.C. Compare the fatality rate in Iraq to murders in D.C. over the same period. The numbers are gonna be close.

In wars people die. Thats what war is, killing people and breaking things. It has existed throughout history and will as long as mankind has free will. Collateral damage will also always happen, but so much less with our current millitary than ever before. As far as telling who the bad guys are, there is no doubt the little gargoyle is a bad guy. What I meant when I said drop the bomb, I meant target HIM and drop a nuke on his location. End of little gargoyle and most of his cronies. Some civillians for sure, but much more 'humane' than the carpet bombing done on Dresdin, Berlin, London Etc., during WWII.

"Sadam was a bad dude and removing him from power was a good thing, or at least I thought so at the time. "

So what, now you think we shouldn't have? Got any young daughters? I am sure the son that sent his body guard to the middle schools in search of new rape victims for him just LOVED the fact that folks like you made excuses for him.

Training camps in Iraq.

WMD's in Iraq.

Rape rooms in Iraq.

Torture rooms in Iraq.

Nah, no reason at all to be in Iraq!

Hmmmm.... seems to me we aren't doing a very good job of keeping the home front safe FROM OURSELVES, so what makes us think we should be trying to "clean up" someone else's mess when we can't even take care of what's ours?

On a different front, "nuking the little gargoyle" isn't exactly feasible, since the whole thing about a nuke is the massive, widespread destruction, and that's not to mention the resulting contamination that has zero respect for borders.
