Have you been up to correct the overheating issue?

The second bullet states clearly: NO ADVERTISING.

You may correct your mistake by;

1. Reading the Forum rules prior to posting again.

2. Apologize to the Forum for having violated the Rules

3. Contacting the Forum Manager and requesting your accidental advertising post be removed from the Forum..

... you can ignore feb because others are allowed to slide in an occasional 'plug' for their business. Only difference is, they actually NAME their business, or post a link to their website, so others know who to contact if they choose to patronize them.

Apparently Mav knows who you are, but he keeps secrets very well.

I am NOT trying to stir the pudding here. I have stated my position on this issue several times. None of us want, or would tolerate, the forum being flooded with spam ads daily, but a local guy trying to increase business with a post about new services is fine by me. And I think many others would agree.

.... check with CAT BOAT. After the successful installation of the needed accessories (Ben Franklin's) to his Ho's Hangout on his boat, I am CERTAIN he needs some upholstery cleaned if not replaced.

The rumor is circulating that the mud wrestlers left babygirl's place and went straight to Cathouse Performance Marine due to the longer 'dock' and more celebrities in attendance i.e, Brittney, Paris, Lindsey and most important BEN FRANKLIN. They each brought their own 'bumpers' though as DeeDee possesses the only ones that CAT is allowed to handle.

Feb that is supposed to be milk in your wheaties not *&^%$. Give the guy a break. There is no harm in that post. Some of us actually appreciate a local guy informing us of his business. Never heard you tell CAT not to mention his shop. It's mentioned on here daily. CAT not meaning to point you out...as I am glad to know about your business as well...it was just a point.

I thought this debate had been put to rest. The hypocrisy is unreal at times. feb has even posted CAT's website URL himself. That led to quite a little dust up on the forum. It seems that a couple of folks practice the ole' "do as I say, not as I do". My point is if the rules are absolute, they are absolute. You can't ignore what your 'friends' do, but chastise others for the same thing. But feb will ALWAYS be the first, and usually the only one, to 'flame' any poster that dares mention his/her business, if they aren't on febs 'approved' list of advertisers.

I appreciate being mentioned here as much as I am. (Business). However, I do send a check each year to this site so that my business can be a sponsor/advertiser, and have links under the sponsor/advertiser section on this site. I am glad to make that contribution to this site. Also, I have a link to this site, from mine as well. (But I never got a check from lakemartin.com).... LOL

Did I mention that I will fix your computer at a bargain rate? How about a computer security assessment? Do you need a lost password restored? How about lost files- I can recover those also. How about a web application, need a DBA? Call Consolidated Support Services, Prattville.

Wait, forget about all of that, who all is going to be at the rock this weekend? lol

LOL, PP, I won't advertize my little store in Montgomery on here (not boating or lake oriented) but I did have wedo (Terry) repair my bimini top and boot on my boat and he did a GREAT job at a more than fair price, thanks again Terry.

I am sure you think you are correct.

None of my business or money goes into the local community around the Lake.

I have everything shipped in, and all the construction labor and etc. performed via China.

I will allow you and a friend or so support the local economy and businesses. They would prefer to see your few dollars to all the money I could ever imagine spending in the area.

I bet you would like to think all the above is true.

Does that really apply to people who pay to be here Feb? I was just wondering because I paid my monies to be here. Thanks boatsrfun I appreciate the business and the good review.I thought that some of the boat owners might like to know they have an option besides the ones they are limited to at present,if that is taken as advertisement so be it ,I plead guilty as charged.

You and other businesses supporting the Web site with your advertising dollars. Without you and others, we would not have this Forum.

Lets say right church but wrong pew.

Seems I have learned a valuable lesson here. So in the future, others can perform the Forum policing job.

I just retired.

In other words, it wasn't your job!! It is Bruce's job. If you have a problem with any post alert him and if HE sees fit, he will remove the post. But I can assure you, that you have a bigger problem with the occasional 'advertisement' than he does. I feel confident in saying this because he and I have had a couple of conversations on the matter. The ironic thing is, even if I wanted to hire wedoseadoo, I still wouldn't know who to call.

OK, where is the place that does the "upholstery and cover repairs" that we are not advertising on this site located? I have a seam coming loose in the rear sun pad on my Four Winns and want to get it re-sewn before it comes completely apart.

I had to go out and buy another one. HA! " If you've got to be someone, be yourslef" " A day at the lake is better than ANY day at work" Enjoy life!

Sure thing, I've got a good start already for a big bow rider, I'm sure with the power plants you build it would give my grand kids a very big thrill, hey by the way were you on the lake the other day up around pleasure point? Say a cat going north at break neck speed, it turned around just past Pleasure Point Marine and was at the other end of the big water before I knew it?

The last time we were on Lake Martin was July 4th. And we did not ride at a fast speed. That is the weekend we went to OSMS's house.

When you are bested you start name calling and attacking on a personal level. Why don't you take your losses like a MAN, without the name calling. You got called out on your hypocrisy, plain and simple. You can call it a 'joke' or put it in quotes or whatever you want to try and mask the truth. Bottom line, you can't have it both ways. I got wrapped around the axle that day and got goaded into (by your old friend) saying something that crossed the line. I admitted it, and made apologies for it. You never even recognized that apology. I was taught when an a apology was offered, you always acknowledge it. You don't have to accept it, however, an acknowledgement is common courtesy. I thought better of you feb, but like your 'friend' Lakeman, your true colors are coming through. Hold onto your grudges. I hope they keep you safe and warm at night.

Resentments only harm those that hold them.

I can be gracious and accommodating but faster than you can hit the back button I can turn to my 'poison pen', without qualms or regrets. For that I will ALWAYS win the war of words here. Have you not seen that after all these years.

Maybe when your mini-mansion is finished and you get out of the beltway and on the lake full time some peace and serenity will find you. Until then, take a deep breath, relax think about fishing the lake, or fixing a clock, or anything that will relax you.
