You are right, but I have been playing trivia in bars for years and have won several tourny's. Once for 1000 bucks and a limo to a Braves game. Then I had to give my seat away cuz I wasn't in town that week.

I don't want to make a habit of defending LTL, BUT the name of this particular forum is the OFF TOPIC forum. It was created just for posts like LTL's: OFF the TOPIC of Lake Martin.
Had he made the post on the LAKE TOPICS forum, I'd be right there with you. But at least HE had the insight to know the difference between OFF TOPIC and LAKE TOPICS; maybe before aiming your sarcastic barbs in his direction, you should take the time to learn the difference yourself.

After just reading another thread on the Lake Topics forum I was trying to figure whether Arnod or Bob had won the battle of the triple word score words. I was thinking Arnold took him with that last one, but now after this unwarrented attack, I am voting for my old freind Bob. Arnold should recognize "pontification", he sure does it enough.

I keep trying to get there since your first post on the subject, but life keeps getting in the way. Do you have a team? If so what is the name so I can catch up to you. It would be nice to have a team in place to start playing with. The next two weeks are kind iffy, but I will get there when I can.
And BTW- I took no offense to your post. I agree that the 'pucker factor' is definatley in play, even when playing in bars. I can't tell you how many times I have said dang I KNEW that, after the answer is given. Can you give more details on rules and format at Niffers?

Thanks for you response. I really do not have a set team . usually its just me and a couple of friends. I am the only one that goes regular. Format , starts at or around 7pm. Play 7 rounds 7 questions a round. Every one writes answers on a prepared form.no cell phones. prizes 1st $40, 2nd $25, 3rd $15. Niffers gift cert. lotta fun and fellowship.
