Hosted a beach party at a beach directly across from Pleasure Point on Saturday- heard the roar of engines and looked across the lake- huge " Fountain Boat in lead, "Cat Boat" in second, smaller "Fountain ( Scarab ) in rear- Rooster Tails were magnificent. An hour later, heard the roar again- looked and saw the same three in the same order heading back-going a little faster now- turned to my son-in-law and said " Cat is getting smoked", nano-second later, heard a huge increase in engine noise level decibles, water went one way, "Cat Boat" went the other. Turned to my son-in-law and said, " Not anymore". What a sight to behold.

I don't know. Could not see it clearly. It was smaller than Cat or the big fountain. I wish I had it on video. The rooster tails trailering were what you see on television. Man, it was nice.

I was monitoring Mission Control in Huston and the Cat Boats 2 way traffic on My I-com 706 HF radio on the boat and they were holding The Cat Boat back because of the shock wave it produces when it nears the sound barrier. You see the Catamaran produces more of a pressure wave in the atmosphere than the V hull and Russel Lands did not want a bunch of windows broken on the lake. That is the only reason he was holding her back.
