How accurate is the hot maps card? (as for as the topo lines and depths)

Mine is fairly accurate in all areas I've been, but when I get in shallow areas I still like to keep the sonar depth alert active.

Ten-foe, thanx for the info. I mainly just want to use it to troll and jig humps, points and river ledges. It just seems to be a little easier to find the humps, points and ledges with the card instead of doing alot of searching blindly with the naked sonar.

If you are a serious striped bass fisherman, it's worth every penny you have to pay for it.  It's accurate and repeatable.  I use a lot of way points so I don't use many markers when I find fish.

It's also great for navigation in the fog or at night; although it will not prevent you from getting run over.  I like it up the river in the spring because I can stay in the channel in the early morning fog.

Yea Bamaskeetshooter, that is another reason. In the spring when I get ready to head to Jaybird,it will come in handy to try to stay in the river channel. I am not that that familiar with the river run above the railroad trestle.

The one I played with did totally miss a rather large rock in front of the cabin, but I'm not going to tell the Navionics people just where it is;)

I fish up around madwind and manoy and the map is deadon a bunch of th ehumps and holes. I keep the screen split to make sure, and watch for fish. It's also good to help you find those damned bouys after you drop them to mark fish. A lot of good they are.
