When Bush took office the national debt was 67.4% of GDP. When Bush left office eight years later it was 72.8% of GDP (and that includes the war in Iraq spending).
In Obama's first year the national debt as a percent of GDP is projected to be 90.6% (huge). This is mostly from his massive stimulus spending that has done nothing and his massive budget and increase in government spending.
Based on budget projections and deficits Obama will run, even with his "tax increase), by the time he is voted out of office in 3 more years, the national debt is projected to be 103% of GDP.
It took 230 years for the national debt to get to 73% of GDP, in one year Obama and the socialists added 18% and in 3 more years will add another 12% ... That is a 30% increase in 4 years
Yes Bush spent a lot more than I would have liked and had to pay for a war ... but the debt as a % of GDP only increased 6% over 8 years.
I tend to agree that Obama may have an agenda to bankrupt america, if not, can this be rationale management of the country?
