Health care
Two patients limp into two different medical clinics with the same complaint. Both have trouble walking and appear to require a hip replacement.
The first patient is examined within the hour, is x-rayed the same day and has a time booked for surgery the following week.
The second sees his family doctor after waiting a week for an appointment, then waits eight weeks to see a specialist, then gets an x-ray, which isn't reviewed for another week, and finally has his surgery scheduled for six weeks from then.
Why the different treatment for the two patients?

The real difference is the first patient receives a fee set by the provider, pays in cash, and understands that it is a voluntary option (not an entitlement,) so the incentive is payment for service in a timely fashion, just like your plumber.
The second patient receives a percentage of a fee set by a second party, the provider will receive that fee in 60-90 days after filling out reams of paperwork, and as a result of regulations (because someone else is paying for this) has to endure unnecessary delays so that the Payers are sure everything is provided according to their liking.
It is a hilarious joke though.

Hmmm? WHO pays for those prescription drugs under Obamacare? Who pays for the 25 year old lazy unemployed “child”? The TAXPAYERS, EMPLOYERS, and CONSUMERS pay... that’s who.
