What is a "moderate reformer" in Iran? I know you want to show that the rest of the world thinks like an American Democrat, but give some specifics.

Just another liberal having to go out of our country to find something positive to say about liberals.

A "moderate" in relation to Achmidiniwackjob isn't saying much but here's hoping he lives to see it through inauguration. Won't take much to cause another "revolution" fomented by the Islamofascists in Iran. We can only hope that he takes the country in the direction that a majority of them have favored for a long time but sadly were not supported by TOTUS since he has yet to meet a dictator he didn't want to bow to and support.
But I am quite sure your glee isn't about this but is more about WaPo using the term "conservative" to describe the status quo......I can assure you their beliefs have nothing in common with this American conservative. I am surprised they used the term moderate and didn't go for the full monty by calling his a progressive or liberal. I seriously doubt gay marriage, abortion, affirmative action or any of the other main issues for left wing nuts will be on the ballot anytime soon in Iran so I am afraid you will be sorely disappointed with this regime.

Hassan Rouhani is a regime pillar: As an early follower of the founder of the Islamic Republic, Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, Rouhani joined him in exile in Paris, and over the last 34 years, the 64-year-old Qom-educated cleric has held key positions in the regime’s political echelons, and served in top military jobs during Iran’s decade-long war with Iraq. As Iran’s chief interlocutor with the West on the regime’s nuclear portfolio, Rouhani boasted of deceiving his negotiating partners. Domestically, he has threatened to crush protestors “mercilessly and monumentally,” and likely participated in the campaign of assassinations of the regime’s Iranian enemies at home and abroad, especially in Europe. Currently, Rouhani serves as Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei’s representative on the supreme national security council.
Yep, he's a real moderate.......it's all relative GF

We will just have to wait and see what happens.
Iran’s President-elect Hassan Rohani has promised to use his victory to transform the Islamic Republic’s relations with the outside world and with its own citizens. |

And Barack Hussein Obama was hailed as a "transformative" president. Be careful what you wish for.

Barack is great. He has to deal with a House of GOP bozos who waste time voting 37 times to kill Obamacare rather than work on a jobs bill.
