Have to agree with you. Too bad he wrote the article before the House passed the bill to finance the government and attached  deriviative amendment for the banks. Would be interested to read his comments.

What most people can't fathom is that total derivatives are $1000 trillion or a cool quadrillion bucks.

Yes, and the profit drops to the bottom line each year and no reserves are established for claims which will "never" occur. I am impressed that you can rebuild an engine, discuss derivatives, and still call yourself a conservative.
