Its so much fun living rent free in Archibald's mind.  Here's a news flash.....no one is my follower. All are independent thinkers who happen to agree with me more often than not but definitely not even close to always. Heck, one of my so called acolytes said I was often a blowhard and occasionally an idiot.  Doesn't sound like a sycophant to me. Archie, are you off your meds?  Hey, I see some new laughers on the Jokes forum......time to comment on other peoples jokes isn't it?  And are your cap locks stuck on like Goofy's or are you trying to make me feel important? LOL!

As I have said...Facts are facts, truth is truth and changing the subject (when both are against you) is obfuscation.  I know that is a BIG word MM but it something at which you are an expert without peer!

Hey, wait a minute...since you no longer read my posts, how did you know I talked about your "followers".  Humm...either one of your "followers" must have informed you or you are a liar as well as an arrogant blowhard.

Lastly (hope a follower tells you about this), neither I nor anyone else on this forum has to "make" you feel important.  You are arrogant enough to already "know" you are important, not to mention a brilliant intellectual and a great leader of both men and opinion!

please get back on subject.  Explain how you can claim the Republicans are alway better for the economy when the fact is job growth, corporate profits, stock market advances and overall economic expansion have beem much stronger on average during democratic administrations  than Republican for the last 70 years.

he is interested only in T party extremist right wing talking points.  He used to sometime make reasonable and, on occasion, very good arguments, but as the years pass he has drifted into downright delusion. He even once agreed with much of my health reform suggestions including a need for a mandate.  Of course, as the nuttybuddy rightwing talking points developed he changed his tune.  Maybe his brain is starting to atrophy as he gets older.

A couple of additional "truths" and a repeat for MM to not read and not respond too (Ever notice how he never even attempts to counter an uncomfortable fact...instead of any attempt at an intellegent counter arguement, he always attacks and/or belittles the fact giver or simply changes the subject)

1/ Corporate profits in total actual dollars were more in Obama's first term than in all 8 years of W.  Dang, Obama is an abject failure at being a Socialist

2/ The Dow Industrial average was established in 1896. Since then it has risen an average of 7% per year when a Democrat was president but only 2.9% per year under Republicans.

3/ Since 1945 the average number of new jobs while a Democrat was in the W H is 1.85 million per year but only 970,000 per year under Republicans.

It is amazing how the so many good folks, especially in the south, are so blinded by extreme partisanship, lies, dis-information,  MM's talking points, an...sorry to say...hatred of a single individual that they gladly rush out like lemmings every 2 years and vote against both their own self-interest and the nation's best interest.

Or more like a puppet as he pulls your strings to stick up for his inanity......more's the pity.  The only ones that can't take the heat of truth are the left wing nuts that are mostly gone, other than you and occasional drive by shooting by Archibald.  As for the blame Bush comment, you really need help for your BDS.  And as I have already pointed out it is no coincidence that the economy starts to pick up steam when the GOP won control of congress and Oblamer heads to lame duck status.  As I said before, you are most certainly welcome for my vote.  Always glad to bail out one who believes in a failed ideology.

Before the intellectual giant of this forum actually addresses the points raised rather than yet again changing the subject?  The world needs to have an explanation from you (and/or one of your followers) just why you believe the economy is ALWAYS better when the GOP leads us when the facts, for at least the last 70 years, say otherwise.  Man up M Man and defend your position rather than bitch about my "drive by" posts and declare my "insanity".  Insanity is defined as doing something the same way over and over again even when it never works, yet you insist "Let's do it again, it's sure to work this time!"

I would submit that Martini Man IS NOT an intellectual giant… and he has never professed to be such. The real point is that he sees events, conditions, actions, and persons for what they are. It is especially important that he is a liberal in the classical sense rather than by present definition (progressive). I see that he is critical rather than cynical. Just because he reads it… or sees a picture of it… NEVER means that he accepts it. He has a healthy skepticism. He is not bought by a cliché. He does not mistake wolves for sheep. He sees the long stretch of government in his life and yours. He discerns the connectivity between action and effect from diverse sources to diverse subjects (constituencies). He knows the truth about statistics. (I would rather have a business major who understands statistics searching for unexploded ordnance… that a geophysicist who cannot tell me the difference between mean, median, and mode).

I do not agree with MM on many of his opinions… but a debate with MM on our disagreements would lead to enlightenment on the part one or both of us. It is this condition which does not seem to describe argument with a liberal (puppet).

Very good observations.  When I tell left wing nuts I am a liberal in the classic sense of the term I am greeted by either blank stares or befuddled confusion.  And no doubt I am not an intellectual giant.  I am well read, especially in history and economics and have a classical education that allows me to think critically and unemotionally using facts, logic and reason.  When you do that you are able to understand the abject failure of big government progressivism. You can come to grips with the factual reality that these policies and ideas have never worked and will never work.  As the old saying goes, it ain't rocket science. 

I find it particularly amusing that Archie insists others on this forum are followers or lemmings. Not only is it factually false, it is wildly ironic given his slavish follower/lemming behavior with regard to dear leader. Only a mind numbed fool would not recognize his serial failures in both the domestic and international arenas. To hear him tell it, all the ails the world is Bush's fault and all that goes well is directly a result of his false messiah. But even then he lacks consistency. When gas prices skyrocketed it wasn't Obola's fault but when they drop he thanks el presidente.  Just plain old economic illiteracy.
