Since the Right prefers failure on the economy, they will not like this latest from Bloomberg:

"Applications for U.S. jobless benefits declined last week to the lowest level in 15 years, showing employers view a first-quarter slowdown in the economy is probably temporary.

First-time filings for unemployment insurance fell by 34,000 to 262,000 in the week ended April 25, the lowest since April 15, 2000, a Labor Department report showed Thursday in Washington. The figure was smaller than the lowest projection in a Bloomberg survey of economists.

With job openings at a 14-year high and prospects for stronger growth after the first-quarter setback, companies are intent on maintaining headcounts. The level of firings is consistent the Federal Reserve’s view of sustained progress in the job market.

“It gives you confidence that employers aren’t looking at their workforce and saying, ‘Gee, I’m stuck with too many workers for the kind of demand I’m facing,’” said Guy Berger, an economist at RBS Securities Inc. at Stamford, Connecticut. “It’s a good sign, no doubt about it.”

I am beginning to really suspect you are one in the same person.  Cherry picking one good week after several weeks of higher than expected jobless claims is his typical modus operandi.  Either way, I welcome any good news, especially when you look at the lousy GDP numbers from Q1.  The struggle continues with a few brighter spots......

Archie is not one of my aliases and you can take that to the bank. I fail to understand why posting good news to you is always cherry picking. You seem quite adept at picking your news.

You see GF there is a huge difference and I will explain.  If I were to post all the bad economic news I would be putting something there every day.  However, for the good news it comes so infrequently that you indeed have to cherry pick from the entire gamut of economic news to find a bright spot here and there.  Big, big difference.........
