"Lake Martin is navigable on some days, but not all. On weekdays, other than holidays that fall during the week, Lake Martin is very navigable. There is not much boating traffic during those times, and the lake can be navigated at excessive high speeds effectively. However, during weekend daylight hours during the summer, Lake Martin is unnavigable . Most boats wonder around aimlessly going in every direction possible and as slow as possible (thats why the federal government deams Lake Martin not navigable). This situation lends itself to the operation of pontoon boats only. Guidelines suggest the operation of Personal Water Craft on Lake Martin be done at nighttime between the hours of 10:00pm and 3:00am. But, effective May 31st, 2006, the new Federal Guidelines suggest that during daylight hours in the summer months, Lake Martin will be navigable, thanks to a resolution signed by the LMPBA (lake martin power boat association) that limits boat traffic to unmuffled powerboats during those times and no speedlimit has been set forth at this time. I am sure you all will agree with these new rules.

YALL REMEMBER THAT ONE?

Cat Boat, I feel so sorry for you. I think you are having withdrawl symptoms if you are looking up old posts. Just think, spring will be here soon and the lake will fill. Let's ask Anchor Don if the lake is going to be raised a month earlier in 2006. Even that will make JIM happy---well maybe it will!!!!!!!!!!!! It's 12:18 AM and I am posting. Maybe JIM is right and I am a dumb chit!!!!!

Here you go Cat Boat, You can find any number of games on this internet site that will help with the boredom; although your frustration level may go up. (Did I use "can" and "may" correctly?) You could become an expert in a certain game and challenge another Forum member to a match. Might want to try the dart game or the fishing game.
