I have a pontoon with a merc 115 OB engine. A problem has come up and I need help. After running for a while, when I slow down it will almost always go dead and take a while to crank. Like a run from Chucks to Chimney Rock. Sometimes it might take 10 to 20 minutes trying before it will recrank. Any ideas? Thanks!

If you can trap Cat he can fix it.  I am thinking we should maroon him on Goat Island with tools.  He would be there full time to fix our boats.  Since the goat are not there the goat house could become the Cat House.  Kids could ride by and throw food to him periodically.

In the winter we could take him back to the Keys and maroon him on a remote key and charge others for his services.

Cat, I got the boat new in 1999 and the motor was a nearly new one I swapped the packaged 40 HP for. I think it was a 97 or 98 model. It was a good deal and I wanted more than a 40 HP for Lake Martin. And I had too much caffeen at dinner and could not sleep. But I bet I will tonight!

Hope you had a good nights sleep! If I were you, I would direct my attention to fuel delivery first. Maybe next time this happens see if pumping up the fuel line bulb helps????? Or, maybe you have a fuel pump issue??? See what kind of info you can gather and lets get this thing done. Steve
