Refer to the following article to see what Obama's Healthcare is going to do for seniors. Because of the amount paid, this clinic in Arizona will no longer accept Medicare patients unless they are able to pay cash. Is this the start of the $400 billion savings included in the plan?

This is just the start of what we will be facing with healthcare "reform". Hospitals and doctors are going to just walk away from the government programs with fixed rates, and slow payment.

This is what happens with socialized medicine. Then you have fewer doctors, less R&D, fewer facilities ... leading to long lines and rationing.

This is not speculation, we are fortunate with have other countries that have tried and failed to learn from. So why are the democrats not listening to the people that they are suppose to be representing?

They don't care about the health of anyone, they just crave power and control over our lives. Why else would they go against the wishes of 60% of the American people?

Which will be the reason that an amnesty bill will likely see a big push from BHO and the Dems early in 2010...........lining up those new voters for 2010 and 2012..........reg joe Americans have our work cut out for us to head this off at the pass......

What Mayo is doing is cherry picking the patients and procedures they want. Mayo is not about "primary care", they want tests, and procedures, not what is called frequent visitors who are patients who come in monthly for BP checks, prescription renewals, etc. Mayo skims the cream off the patient pool, they are the epitome of Cadillac care.

Pure and simple primary care is a loser nationwide. Family Practice and Internal Medicine guys are at the low end of the pay scale.

Your average hospital, clinic, diagnostic center, or surgery center can't live without Medicare. Medicaid and non-pay are what are killing all facilities.

And, most likely, buried deep in the Healthcare Bill, will be a one sentence statement stating that anyone who has been "elected" to a federal government office will be entitled to receive health insurance under a different plan.

One can help solve the problem by enrolling in Medicagap Plans F, I, or J which all provide 100% of the costs in excess of Medicare-approved amounts. You will likely have no out-of-pocket costs for doctor's care with this plan.
Plan G covers 80% of the excess. All other plans provide no coverage for the excess charges.

It is interesting that the Medigap Card does not indicate an Insured's Plan so the doctor's staff has no idea that you have the excess coverage. It applies where the doctor refuses to accept the Medicare approved amount and bills you for the difference.

I'm pretty sure that it is illegal for a provider to bill Medicare patients more than the Medicare approved rate. They can bill the co-pay, but not more. As a matter of fact, AL BC/BS and most others have rules in their plans that prevent such action by providers.
