See link below.  Not sure I get the message?  Although, not a Democrate, always thought about Jerusalem as Capitol. I know, I should not play on this forum.

Jerusalem is the historic capital of israel beginning with the kings of israel - King David the most notable. it was originally occupied by the Jebusites hundreds of years before Christ. (Not the "Palestinians" which are more or less the remnants of the Philistines).  That's where the two temples were built beginning with the first under David's son Solomon. Jesus is the direct descendant of King David. it is the site of many of Jesus' activities and finally His conviction and crucifixtion by Pilate - under the colonial rule of Rome. The second coming of Jesus will occur on the Mount of Olives just outside of Jerusalem according to the scripture.

This is a big, big deal for israel and Christians too. it sends a terrible message to Hamas as to the attitude of the US and it's committment to defend israel. This will probably lead to more violence and killing in israel.

This removal of the recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of israel in Obama's platform is a colossal blunder since Florida has a large israelis population and might swing it to Rommney.

That help? i'm not a Bible scholar and i hope i got most if this correct but you get the importance.

I think the dems were playing to a portion of their base, then said oops if we had a shot at florida, taking this out will tip the scale and we will lose it ... so Obama (the guy that will not help his own brother and his Antie in MA is living on government assistance) would sell his soul, said we need to put this back in, even though sadly he does not believe it.  But the problem turned out the base is plit and it was a total embarrassment.

Democrats are very evil and if allowed to stay in power will destroy the fabric of our nation.  They will tax and give away the wealth of the producers until the point that there isn't any more to tax and we all end up poor.

Republicans are evil too, but not as evil, and if allowed to further their agenda will establish a business climate that will turn loose the billions of dollars sitting in big corporations' bank accounts.  The result will be a bigger, stronger America with more opportunity for those who choose to pull themselves up by their bootstraps and share in the riches to be had under such a business climate.

Who is left out if the Republicans win?  Those who don't try to better themselves, or those who try and can't make it.

To anyone who studies the Democrats' moves closely, it is quite apparent that the WANT to build a class dependent on welfare, food stamps, unemployment, and disability checks.  Once that is done, they have created a dependent class who will always vote for them, otherwise they risk losing their free ride.  Smart, although evil, strategy.

It failed by voice vote 3 times and he then said it was approved. He needed to hear a clear 2/3 majority as specified by party rules. UNBELIEVABLE BREAKING OF THE RULES. The Democrat delegates should join in lawsuits and take the DNC to court. These voting tactics are representative of a Communist country. Don't think it can't happen here. The RNC broke their own rules too regarding rule 16, so I'm not just picking on Democrats. I will vote for neither of these clown parties this election cycle. Both parties are a bunch of lying crooks and thieves. I'm wondering if politics has always been this corrupt, or am I just now waking up to this fact? From Wikipedia: "Jerusalem is the capital under Israeli law. The presidential residence, government offices, supreme court and parliament (Knesset) are located there. The Palestinian Authority foresees East Jerusalem as the capital of its future state. The UN and most countries do not recognize Jerusalem as Israel's capital, taking the position that the final status of Jerusalem is pending future negotiations between Israel and the Palestinian Authority. Most countries maintain their embassies in Tel Aviv and its suburbs or suburbs of Jerusalem, such as Mevaseret Zion." The United States embassy is still in Tel Aviv.

Thanks RR.  I completely understand the Biblical side.  King David is always a favorite with me, even when he was just a boy.  Thanks yall for the political view.  I think they should just nominate and vote for the Ordained Governer who brought up the motion.  Maybe he will read from the REAL Book.

As for the issue of Jerusalem, it was not included in the original platform as the rightful capital of Israel. It got noticed and there was fear that it would alienate the Jewish vote so the parties that be forced its inclusion. I hope the traditionally Democrat Jewish voters that are not self loathing take note. That was a moment of insight into what your Democrat base voter really thinks. As for the issue of God, again it was pandering and politics. But as numerous studies and polls have demonstrated, the Democrat party base is mostly irreligious and is downright hostile to religion in many cases. Their religion is government and power and they serve only their own interests. They don't care much for others around them which is why study after study demonstrates they give significantly less to charity. What they really want is for a totalitarian government to take from the productive and give it to them.

First to your question about the state of politics. If you read a lot of history you will see that there is truly nothing new under the sun and in politics or any other aspect of life. In my opinion politics is way more honest today than it have probably ever been......which admittedly is setting the bar low. But remember how Kennedy won. Look at Lincoln's first campaign for President. Read ancient history and it is rife with examples of the base nature of politics. Lord Acton in 1887 wrote the famous quote about power corrupting and absolute power corrupting absolutely. That is the danger of politics. Second and most important of all, staying home and not voting is not the right answer. It is much better to vote for an imperfect candidate than to stand by and allow a truly awful one get elected. The GOP is rife with problems like any organization composed of mortal human beings. However, if you intellectually examine the results of the last four years with Dems controlling the WH and Senate (and two of the four controlling the House) you cannot come to any other conclusion than it has been a disaster for this country and the world. As imperfect as Republicans are, and there is no debate about that, they are by far the lesser of the two evils and given we only have these two choices to me is a no brainer. Accepting disaster in search for the perfect is folly. I can't stand by and say that since Romney wasn't my first choice I am going to sit this one out. That is a recipe for four more years of an incompetent and failed ideology that the country may not be able to recover from. Don't let that happen.

Leaving both out of the platform was just plain stupid. The Right wing  should have kept quiet until after the convention was over. Has anyone read the GOP platform? I have never read any party platform. Have you????

I actually think the brouhaha during the DNC is of way more value than the actual issue itself. It nicely distracted some of the news from the convention speeches, etc. Leaving both out provided a valuable insight into the modern Dem party and having them force them back in despite the booing of the crowd was priceless. That needs to be played over and over until November. Between that and moving TOTUS' reading of his teleprompter into a smaller venue because of a threat of lightning that does not exist it just reinforces that they are still not ready for prime time. It would have looked pretty lonely in that half full stadium......sort of like a Pirates game in Pittsburgh. Ring....ring....."Hello, DNC ticket office.....uh huh, what time is the Presidents speech tonight? Well....um......when can you make it? We can work around your schedule!"
